Really, it should have been at least 50. If you listened to this week's podcast, you may have heard three drunk guys try to remember something about MK Ultra, a band from the '90s. We were at a loss. It was all in relation to the song we played by Exit Clov (who were great both times I saw them ,troopers, really, it was hot at OU Thursday night) and we got a bit tangential - it happens a lot - we weren't prepared - someone said they were an industrial band. Oh so wrong.
With three albums still available on Barsuk and a breakup in 1999, MK Ultra were a band from the West Coast whose members included: Dan Carr: Bass Vocals; Matt Torrey: Drums Vocals Piano; John Tyner: Guitar Vocals Moog; John Vanderslice: Vocals Guitar Sampling. That's right we couldn't remember John Fucking Vanderslice's band from the 90s. Someone should take away our sweater vests and enter us as point value in Deathrace 2000. Mea Culpa.
